Three of the original founders of HETSA were recognised, perhaps belatedly, at the 23RD annual Conference by being granted Distinguished Fellow awards. Our first fellows were Peter Groenewegen (University of Sydney), Ray Petridis (University of Notre Dame) and John Pullen (UNE). They were rewarded for their outstanding contribution to firstly helping establish HETSA and also for their contributions to the flagship journal, the history of economics review and to their contributions at the Society’s periodic conferences. Other founder members of HETSA will be recognized in due course.

At the Annual General Meeting of HETSA the two current editors of the History of Economics Review indicated that they would like to step down at the end of 2011. It would fulfil their five year term as Joint editors. The membership and HETSA Council recognised their service and accepted their decision. Those who would like to step into their shoes as a joint effort are asked to first make contact with Alex Millmow. The task now requires a two person team for effective management of the journal. The final decision about who will take up the editorial vacancies will be decided by a subcommittee of past editors.
